The amazing robot

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing to you the Multi-purpose Transport Module

A stunning robot that can be controlled wirelessly to pick up objects weighing up to 10kg. The MTM is ideal for retrieving objects in an environment that is not suitable for human presence. The MTM is also a good helper in warehouses and factories.

The MTM is bi-directional and comes with a tri-directional forklift. The video feeding fuction ensures high precision.
The MTM comes with an installation CD, a wireless bridge router and a gamepad.

In case you're wondering where you can buy the MTM, look no more, because I doubt it'll be sold in the market. What you see here is what my group of 21 people has produced in 5 weeks. Although it serves a very simple purpose, it has a very complicated circuitry. In the first 3 weeks, we split ourselves into the USB programming team, the ADAM programming team and the motor team. Each team tackled a different problem. In the next 2 weeks, we combined our parts together and did a lot of troubleshooting. We presented our prototype to the professors and we got into the finals. The finale was the exhibition and the presentation suring the finals.

Our team got into top 6 but did not emerge as the top 3. One possible reason was that the other groups presented better and their products were more marketable. The results are as follow:

Gold Prize: E033 Title: Interactive Music Software Supervisor: A/P Goh Wang Ling

Silver Prize: E011 Title: White Light LED for Indoor Diffuse Wireless Communication
Supervisor: A/P George Chung Kit Chen and A/P Ng Beng Koon

Bronze Prize E027 Title: Wireless Home Automation Supervisor: A/P So Ping Lam and A/P Erry Gunawan

Merit Prize: E026 Title: Optical Design Apprentice Supervisor: A/P Shum Ping and A/P Sun Xiaowei

Merit Prize: E007 Title: Turn an Electric Wheel Chair into Robot Supervisor: A/P Wang Han and A/P Wang Jianliang

Merit Prize: E016 Title: EEG Data Reduction in Neonatal Seizure Detection Supervisor: A/P Pina Marziliano

Ok. We expected to win but we only got merit. However, I feel really excited to be studying engineering after this competition.
