While it's good to have a dream, being obsessed with it can be utterly disgusting

Do you think you can be poisoned with a dream or a goal u want to achieve in life?

My friend Q has recently changed his outlook of life after reading this book called 'Rich Dad Poor Dad.' While i agree that there are some inspiring phrases, i personally feel that the book is very misleading and may be very very poisonous to the mind. I fear my friend's changes are just confirming that feeling.

The book teaches that money isn't all important. People mistakenly think that they should work for money but it should be money that should be working for them. That is truly revolutionary. However, after reading through the chapters, you'll find that in order to make money work for u, u have to work hard for more money in the first place. The book teaches you that money isn't all important, but urges you to be engrossed in money making.

My review of the book will come later, let's examine the case of Q.

After reading the book, Q was very motivated and he aims to be an entrepreneur one day. Day and night, he'll wrack his brains to think of business ideas. Seeing that he's so obsessed , i gave him the signal of 'hey, take a break. money isn't that important.' He replied:' of cos money is not important, it's only a tool for you to make more money.' ironic

So he's not obsessed with money, but the wealth and success money can bring??? That isn't money?? what the hell is he obsessed with then?

i thought i should just leave it. Everyone is entitled to dream. i have dreams of becoming rich and famous too. I'm just not motivated enough. It struck me that i'm always lazy and reluctant to work. Hence, i updated my friendster profile- lazy, always sleepy, not motivated.

My friend Q was apparently not happy with this. For a moment, i was glad that he was so concerned but felt weird why he was so adverse to a friendster profile.

'you should not risk tarnishing your name even in friendster. In the world of business, you have to be credible. your reputation is just too important to be risked.'

Feeling disgusted, i replied ' thx.. but i don't live for the business world.'

I told him being too engrossed in that business world of his makes him a little less personable everytime.

The time came when he propsed a project for investment which i was impressed. I agreed to invest my money and effort into the project and it makes interaction between us intensive. However, we've now become more like working partners than friends. I don't appreciate this kind of relationship at all, even though it may earn me materialistic satisfaction.

I hope my friend is not too lost in the route of life, because the route of life is not to pursue one's dream blindly. He has to stop and look back at what he is leaving behind on the path. For this case, he has become less enjoyable to be with. If an equilibrium is found, i'm sure friendship and success can coexist.

raindrops keep falling on my head... di di di

That's the theme song of the day!

It was a perfect day to laze around on the breezy shore of the sunny sentosa. With bikini babes and hunks running from coconut tree to coconut tree like scenes in the bollywood movies. Young and youthful people engaged in rounds after rounds of competitive volleyball. Lesbian partners immerged themselves into the cover of the sea and doing funny things... (they were holding a dog too). And it rained!!!

Panicked... were the babes and hunks, the young and youthful people and the lesbian partners as they scrambled for shelter. Relieved... was the dog as it was freed from the evil arms. Many quickly dressed up and went home. However, the rain did not stop me and six other enthusiasts from having fun.

We played the stupid concentration game in the shelter. Whenever we see some rays of sunlight filtered thru the dark clouds (even when it was raining), we rushed out of the shelter wanting to absorb every ray that was available to us. It would be a shame to go back from sentosa fair and pale.

We braved the storm and canoed to the weirdest corners of the boundaries. The rain didn't make us think twice about capsizing one another's canoe or jump from one to the next. It was only because of the presence of a fat babe in pink bikini did we turn back our canoe and row to places with better sceneries.

:)

This is rather sensitive, but i'm always wondering why there are shit stains at the back of the toilet seat... the person who came up with this masterpiece must go for toilet training again!!!

3rd day into my naruto, movie and gaming marathon... with bated breath, i struggled to finish 3movies, 4games, and 6 episodes of naruto in a day, after which i fell into a deep sleep. i had enough already.... these activities only bring pleasure when i have something else to do.

hall is a very boring place when most of the fellow hallmates are not around. For the past few days, i've only interacted with my toiletmates and the canteen uncle. The only voice i hear frequently is the irritating reminder of my WC game telling me i'm running out of gold.

i guess i'll go home, even tho it's not any better.

i'm finally having a long holiday.. after 3 long years....

The only one i'm free to do what i want to do that is, here's the situation:

I have
1) plenty of time + 2) no money = 3) no idea on what i should do

Taking a job is out of question, not after i've been slogging my life away b4 this.

to continue the eqn....
1) plenty of time + 3) no idea on what i should do = 4) i can live without a sense of purpose for the next 2 months (not that my purpose in life is always defined)
...

4) describes how my past week was spent. Sleeping whenever i feel like it, the concept of day and night doesn't matter anymore. My body does not function in accordance to the 24hr cycle routinely. I get hungry at irregular hrs. And i eat different numbers of meals everyday.

the eqn goes on
4) i can live without a sense of purpose + 5) too much rotting = 6) makes me feel like i'm dying

Afterall, I can't sleep 20 hrs a day or watch a movie marathon for one whole week... i need alternatives to cheap entertainments

7) homeostatis - 6) me feeling dead = 8) muz get myself a life

arggggggggggggggg...... but wat alternatives to cheap entertainments???

why Men discussing abt boobs is more acceptable than women discussing abt penises

This is sparked by a female friend... as well as insomnia

'why guys like to discuss about boobs? i wonder how guys will feel when women discuss their penises'

i tot her question came 200 years late.

Just to bring everyone out of the stone age... discussing abt boobs is the norm in the modern world (dat's 2004 to date).. u hear it when u tune to ur fav radio station, u see in on tv ads, u'll read abt it in the newspapers... there's so much discussion and everyone is discussing... so why not men?

Discussing about private parts is a totaly different level. A guy discussing about boobs is analogous to a gal discussing abt the chest of a male.... discussing abt penis is analogous to discussing abt gals' privates... which is totally a different matter. If gals discuss abt penises.. that's very rude and cruel (to some ppl dat is.. but not nice to name lah... right lionel?).

Another point. Discussions r only valid if there's some accuracy of facts. Boobs discussions r valid becos they can easily be verified... but discussions on size of penises r mostly based on guesswork and rumours, dat makes such discussions mere gossips (which is what women do anyway, so i guess we haf to accept that as norm as well.)
